Job Title: Team LeaderFresh. Reporting To:Fresh Duty Manager. Role Specification. Role Purpose: Assist the Duty Manager with the day to day running of the Ambient Department. To maintain best practice standards across the departments at all times and to assist in the creation of a positive working environment for colleagues within their department. To act as a role model for colleagues within the store by demonstrating excellence in company standards and commitment at all times. To carry out operational training and coaching e.g. chemical training or machine training as well as the implementation of new processes and procedures. This role includes shop minding and key holding duties as required. Role Scope: Colleagues must be flexible to work in the capacity of Team Leader in any Department as dictated by the needs of the business. Area of Responsibility: Departmental and Customer Service. Key Activities. Supervise the department as required by your Duty manager. Ensure that best practices are in place in the department including merchandising standards/store set up & finish and the running of promotions. Adherence to the communication process especially in relation to handovers. Assist the Duty manager by keeping a focus on reducing waste and markdown in the department. Assist the Duty Manager by keeping a focus on controlling shrink within the Ambient Department. Assist the Duty Manager with the delivery of Gap Management targets. Assist the Duty Manager with the delivery of the Gap Management Policy. Promote sales opportunities within the department. Adhere to the communication process with the Duty Manager particularly in relation to handovers. Monitor stock levels to ensure availability for customers at all times through adherence to stock control routines and replenishment practices. Deal with all Customer complaints professionally and promptly. Lead by example in communicating with customers to deliver great service. Maximise sales opportunities. Ordering using pull ordering principles. Measures. Area of Responsibility: HR Admin, Legal Compliance & Training. Key Activities. Adhere to all employment legislation and company policies. Deliver training within your department as required. Compete all department training paperwork for the SRM to ensure records are in place. Act as a role model on company standards and commitment. Measures. Area of Responsibility: Labour Management & Flexibility. Key Activities. Ensure adherence to rosters e.g. colleagues receive correct breaks and start and finish times are adhered to. In the absence of the Duty manager ensure rosters are posted 2 weeks in advance. Measures. Area of Responsibility: Shop Minding & Key Holding. Key Activities. Perform shop minding duties as required. Perform key holding duties as required. Assist with opening and closing the store as required. Attend alarm calls. Complete effective handovers after shop minding. Measures. Area of Responsibility: Food Safety. Key Activities. Adhere to the daily cleaning schedule. Ensure that dates are checked as per the date checking schedule. Ensure that stock is rotated to the required standard and that the rotation planning process is maintained. Ensure that all required records are maintained. Measures. • Key Relationships. Primary.
