Environmental Consultant. Main purpose of the Job: To ensure that Environmental Services are delivered on time and in full to the satisfaction of the clients. Competency: •Industrial Emissions (IE)/ IPC/ Waste Licensing. •Familiarity with air quality, water quality and noise assessment. •Familiarity with air and odour / Wastewater/ Energy management. •Environmental Legislation and Compliance Assessment. •Contaminated Land Management. •Environmental Monitoring (air, water, noise. •Environmental liability risk assessment. •Residuals management. •Firewater risk assessment. •Statutory license compliance programmes (IPC/IE/Waste. Main Duties. Ensuring Environmental projects are prepared to company QEHS standard, meet Client expectations. Build and develop strong working relationships with Clients. Management and preparation of IPPC/IED/waste licensing related processes and reporting. Working with consultants in scoping projects and monitoring programmes, coordinating information requirements, project resources and specialist input. Liaising with clients, the EPA and/or other regulatory authorities where required. Managing Junior Staff on a per project basis: Adhere to company QMS procedures as per proposal and project flow sheets etc. Effective delegation of work to others working on your project, clearly setting out objectives and methods. Setting deadlines. Establishing Client objectives. Reviewing Project progress: Ensuring project is delivered on schedule. Ensuring project is finished within budget. Ensuring Client is satisfied with the work / report. Ensuring the delivery of exceptional Client service. Promoting a positive work environment. Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager at each meeting (at least weekly. Bringing to the Environmental Services Manager's attention any potential issues that arise in relation to projects in a timely and effective manner. Undertaking such other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by the Company Directors. Other duties: 1.To coach/develop junior members of the Environmental Team. 2.To recommend any potential areas of Environmental Business Development to the Management Team. Principal Performance Measures. 1.The delivery of the Environmental Services on schedule. 2. The delivery of the Environmental Services within budget. 3.The quality of proposals, reports, etc., aiming to exceed Client expectations. 4.Adherence to thecompany QEHS Management System procedures. Candidates must be able to commit to travelling to multiple client sites both across ireland and UK.
