EMEA Project Accountant 11 month contract. A fast-paced organisation requires a hands-on EMEA Project Accountant to join the team on a contract basis. Working within the Finance Project team, you will be involved in day-to-day duties as follows: Financial reporting and compliance processes for EMEA entities. Prepare and analyse statutory financial statements. Manage external audits. Manage the delivery of the accounting processes performed by a BPO supplier ensuring that all SLA's are met. Liaise with key business partners through effective communication with the US GAAP team, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit and Financial Planning. Develop in-depth knowledge of tools and applications in support of the accounting function. Identify opportunities for improvement. Manage projects that will yield efficiency through automation, standardization and outsourcing. Essential qualifications: Professional qualification CIMA / ACA / ACCA. BA/BS degree in Finance, Business or a related field or equivalent practical experience. Shared Service Center experience or experience within a company dealing with varied European entities. Industry and MNC experience. Demonstrable understanding of accounting principles, including US GAAP and related international accounting standards. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of continuous process change and improvement. Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP system preferred.
