As the Legal Affairs Director, you will be responsible for managing our client’s mergers and acquisition within the EU as well as overseeing day-to-day legal operations and staff across this area. Acting as the strategic advisor and business executive for both the Legal Team and the Executive Management, you will provide leadership to the internal Legal Team. The team are tasked with providing business and legal advice to multiple product lines and facilitating financial and operational objectives through the management of legal risk and exposure. You’ll act as the legal expert, working across M&A operations, negotiating transaction documentation and performing legal due diligence. Providing an escalation point for the Legal Team, you’ll manage day-to-day operations and provide practical business-focused legal advice and support across all operations. To be considered for this role, you must have: - At least 10 years’ experience as a corporate solicitor with emphasis on mergers & acquisitions in a multi-national, technology company or a top law firm. - The proven ability to convey legal advice clearly and effectively. - Excellent business and practical judgment. - Strong management skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff. - Demonstrated aptitude and comfort with change management. Hands-on and dedicated to operational excellence, as the Legal Affairs Director, you’ll also need strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to problem solve at a high level.
