They are now looking for a Network Operations Team Lead to join their teams in London or Dublin. As the Network Operations Team Lead, you will be tasked with leading a team of four/five SysAdmins and DevOps Engineers who support, maintain and improve infrastructure in seven countries. You will ensure the adoption of cutting edge automation and configuration management tools and work alongside the Management Team to plan for, and support, organic growth and growth through acquisitions. Guiding and mentoring team members, you will manage servers, primarily Linux but with some Windows, and network infrastructure, as well as providing tier three support for multiple third party back-up platforms. Undertaking scripting in Bash, Python and PHP for the automation of regular maintenance and monitoring, you’ll help your team to plan and prioritise projects and tasks. The team works within an Agile environment and so you will oversee daily and weekly calls and stand-ups, working with team members to continue automating deployments and configuration management. As part of your role, you will be required to take part in an on-call rota for out-of-hours work. You will also undertake some occasional overseas travel, primarily within Europe. Interested? If so, you must have: - At least seven years’ Linux SysAdmin experience. - At a minimum, five years’ scripting experience in Bash, Python or PHP (ideally more than one of these. - An in-depth understanding of storage including RAID levels and the pros and cons of different file systems. - An in-depth understanding of networks, including switching, firewalls, static routing, and an awareness of dynamic routing technologies. As the Network Operations Team Lead, you’ll need to be a great leader with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and guide others.
