Mooney’s Long Mile Road is currently recruiting an experienced Parts Advisor to join our vibrant and dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and experienced candidate who wishes to further progress their career with one of Irelands leading automotive companies. Overview: Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs. Working as part of a team while being responsible for your own targets. Duties include but are not limited to: Liaising with technicians to ensure prompt delivery of correct parts needs to our busy workshops. Providing customers with the relevant parts as required. Ensuring that items are correctly located, ensuring accurate identification of customer needs by means of parts catalogues. Implementing discount structures as applicable. Receiving and identifying stock and checking goods from suppliers. The Successful Candidate will have: 2-3 years’ experience as Parts advisor in the motor industry (previous Hyundai, Nissan or Honda Experience highly desirable. Strong computer skills & IT skills – (Experience of Fortuna/ ADP & VHC is desirable. Full clean drivers Licence. Solid work ethic. Excellent Customer Services skills and professional appearance. Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills both written and oral. Ability to work autonomously and well under pressure. Excellent technical understanding of motor vehicles and ability to explain it to our customers as required. Demonstrable ability to meet and exceed targets. Self-motivating and able to manage own workload. Excellent Interpersonal skills. Highly organised and focussed. Ability to work equally well both alone and as part of a wider team. Excellent numerical skills. Skills and experience: The Parts Advisor must have a professional manner with the ability to think and act commercially. Previous experience as a Parts Advisor is essential. The candidate should also have strong communications skills, as the job requires regular interaction with customers, technicians and their management. The Parts Advisor must be commercially focused, analytical, organized, professional and dependable. Main dealer experience is essential.
