We have a fantastic career opportunity for a Technical Sales Specialist with one of Irelands leading distributors of civil engineering and construction materials. Located in West Dublin and largely office based, this role will offer you scope for further development. The primary role of this position will be the sale and promotion of specialist Construction Chemicals, including: Grouts and Repair • Cement & Concrete Technology • Waterproofing and Sealants • Floorings and Coatings. The objective of this position will be to build on existing relationships and to identify and develop new opportunities through consulting engineers, architects, contractors, applicators and merchants for our global leading brands and products. In addition to this core function, the role will also involve acting in a supporting role to the businesses other activities and sales staff. Responsibilities. Expand customer base, identify how to enter new markets, examine profitability of each customer and improve the return on investment. To introduce new products to major Contractors, Consultant Engineers, Architects and Client bodies in an organised and professional manner. To produce and deliver such product training presentations as may be required by staff or customers. Provide technical consultation and assistance to meet customer needs including on-site technical support. Maintain and develop knowledge of the product base both from a technical and commercial standpoint. To maintain and develop supplier relationships with Manufacturers. To pass and circulate to the appropriate personnel, all pertinent information obtained from the market place. To assist in the forecast process for product demand. To report activities including product development, competition, key market information and customer feedback,in such a manner and at such intervals as may be dictated by your line manager. In conjunction with the various business Managers, formulate budgets and plans for agreement and implement them by coordinating the various activities of the company to ensure the achievement of performance targets. Key Skills and Experience: Technical sales person currently operating in the industry or a technical service or Quantity Surveyor interested in developing a sales career. Desirable – experience in / knowledge of Construction Chemicals (specific commercial and technical training provided. Excellent communicator at all levels. Determination, energy, tenacity, enthusiasm. Computer literate. Full driving licence. You will have a keen interest in the construction sector and have a strong technical knowledge and an ability to absorb information.
