Excel Recruitment are urgently looking to recruit experienced Catering Assistants and Kitchen Staff to work in various kitchens and canteens for our client base in Hospitality, HSE and Industrial units all around Dublin with a lot of casual work available all year around. Requirements for these Catering Assistant Jobs: • Experience working as Catering Assistant or Kitchen Staff in Ireland. • Experience working in the restaurant, canteen or kitchen environment. • Must be flexible in working hours. • Ability to work in a team and on own initiative. • Must be trustworthy and punctual. • Must be diligent and professional at work. • Must be able to adapt to new environment quickly. • Must be familiar with health and cleanliness standards for food preparation. • Must be able to work under pressure. • Good level of spoken English. • Good time management skills. • Ability to work under pressure. • Be able to maintain a strict professional approach to work at all times. • Full driver’s licence and own transport would be an advantage. Catering Assistant Job responsibilities: • Assist with basic food preparation. • Organise food preparation areas. • Serve customers. • Assist with set up and service of food counter. • Understand daily menu portion control. • Counter service. • Ensure counters are replenished and tidy throughout service. • Ensuring chefs are equipped with food and tools they need. • Keep the area of the kitchen, its surrounds and equipment clean at all times. • Ensure food hygiene and health and safety regulations are adhered at all times. • Be prepared to carry out any additional duties outside of general duties. • To follow the agreed HACCP standards and procedures. • To ensure the highest standard of cleanliness & hygiene is maintained throughout the kitchen at all times. • To follow, record and document all cleaning as required by the kitchen procedures. • Any other additional duties required by manager.
