Bluebird Care (DublinSouthEast & Wicklow) is part of a network of twenty offices nationwide. We provide high quality home care services to customers n the South Side of Dublin and throughout Co. Wicklow. We have offices in Dun Laoghaire and Rathnew, Co. Wicklow. This position will be based in our Dun Laoghaire Office. We are recruiting a Nurse Supervisor. The role will include, but will not be limited to: Carrying out home care assessments and introducing care staff to families. Conducting Customer reviews. Interviewing potential Care Staff. Providing training to Care Staff. Supervising and Supporting non-nursing Care Staff. Liaising with families. Liaising with the HSE, Primary Care Teams (PHN’s ; O/T’s etc.) Out of Hours On Call Support on a rostered basis with other office staff. The successful candidate must have a nursing qualification. An excellent standard of English is required, with effective verbal and written communication skills. A good understanding of IT systems is also required as the role requires an amount of office based reporting and follow-up. Applicants must have a full driving licence and their own car. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form. An attractive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications will be offered to the successful candidate. JOB SPECIFICATION. Essential. Experience of service provision in the care profession. Clean driving licence. Experience of customer/environment assessment or relevant risk assessment qualification or ability to attain such qualifications. Desirable. Care Supervisory Management experience. Key Competencies. A first class communicator and team player. To understand and implement quality control procedures. To be able to implement and maintain recording and reporting system. To be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships. To be able to prepare reports as required. To understand and implement customer assessment, care worker-customer introductions, customer review and care worker-customer quality control systems and procedures. To be able to liaise effectively with office staff. To be able to implement all field based training. To be able to share on-call responsibilities with other office based staff. To be able to prioritise and organise own workload effectively. To have a working knowledge of Health and Safety and other legal factors. Job Type: Full-time. Required education: Bachelor's.
