Research Officer required for the funding section of a Dublin based organisation. This is a 4 month contract and salary guide pro-rata c28k. This is an interesting and varied role and includes the following: Providing support to specific fellowship schemes. Managing and updating information systems and files in relation to award schemes, including for reviews and evaluations of same. Providing information and support to awardees, host institutions and other partners. Preparing data for payments to institutions and maintaining accurate records re same. Assisting with proposal evaluation process, including liaising with assessors, organising meetings and processing expenses reimbursement claims. Organising events for researchers, enterprise and project partners, both national and international. Assisting on liaison and reporting to the European Commission in respect of the Council’s EU-funded schemes. Representing the organisation at meetings and events as appropriate. Testing of the online application system as updates are implemented. Preparation of surveys and analysis of survey results. Maintaining website content. Preparation of reports, statistics and other materials as requested. Organising internal meetings, minute taking. Occasionally the post holder will be required to travel and/or to work outside of the usual office hours (such as to attend events, board meeting dinners and similar. Similar other duties as assigned. Skills required - essential: Strong IT skills with a high level of proficiency in MS Word and Excel. English language proficiency. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – oral and written. Attention to detail (working with both text and numbers. Analytical skills. Desirable skills: Prior experience with/understanding of research funding schemes (national and European. Prior experience with online grant management systems or CRM systems.
