Content Editor and Web Executive for a 2 year contract based with an organisation based in D4. Salary: depending on level of experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Manage and upload in a timely and effective way, the day-to-day content updates. 2. Manage the issuing of the organisation’s key group email communications – weekly and monthly (including but not limited to, the organisation’s monthly email corporate newsletter; fortnightly companies Journal email; events brief, weekly jobs desk email; AGM notice etc. 3. Proactively work on securing, writing and uploading relevant content for the organisation’s current website. 4. Liaise with third parties when required, namely, current website host companies and chosen website redevelopment firm. 5. Work with the Marketing and Communications Director and the Marketing Officer to guide and assist in the migration of content from the old to the new digital platform. 6. With our new digital presence in 2018, create, develop, curate and maintain the website’s catalogue of content including overseeing and evaluating the editorial content of all narrative. 7. Strategically manage development improvements to the new website; keep abreast and advise of developments in the digital arena; identify new digital opportunities. 8. Research and write and/ or record and upload SEO-friendly content pieces such as blog posts, long-form content pieces, case studies, and other content for our website. Ensure the content is consistent with the company's brand voice, style and tone. 9. Proactively liaise with staff and others (including members) to encourage them to write relevant and interesting content for the website; foster relationships with the latter to involve them in any community aspect of the new website. 10. Work with the Marketing Officer in the execution of national marketing campaigns, including campaign tracking, monitoring, and management. 11. Administer on a daily basis the web-editor info mailbox. 12. Ensure that all activity is measured, analysed and reviewed with learnings taken forward. Accountable for disseminating monthly analytical reports. Regularly report on digital campaigns and contribute, where possible, with recommendations based on performance. 13. Participation in special projects and other related duties as requested. Assist the Marketing Director in her senior user role on the Website Redevelopment Project Board. Qualification: A minimum of two to three years relevant experience in a Marketing/Digital team position. A qualification in Digital Communications/ Media, or Marketing or PR or Journalism or IT/Web. Experience. Past experience of producing written content end-to-end for web. Demonstrable experience of managing a digital platform. Must have website development and maintenance experience. · Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and ideally some PHP, MySQL. Excellent Photoshop skills. Some evidence showing web/digital media design desirable. Have superb user experience skills and be able to develop wire-framing and write and communicate clear, functional/design specifications. Understanding of website analytics e.g. Google Analytics. Good knowledge of at least two CMS (one of which should be WordPress) and SEO best practice.
