On behalf of our client we are working with them on a new position for a Communications Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career within a very niche area. Position Purpose. To support the development and implementation of communications strategies for external and internal purposes, including client communications activities, corporate communications on behalf of client and internal communications efforts for staff. The Communications Specialist will also edit and proofread client materials and presentations developed by the consulting team for style, format, accuracy, etc. Duties and Responsibilities. Working hand in hand with the Communications Director, the Communications Specialist will: • Corporate communications: Manage the company website; develop compelling communications and marketing materials; organize company’s participation in conferences and events; manage traditional and social media initiatives; research editorial opportunities and build relationships with key industry media. • Internal communications: Develop content and execute bi-monthly staff Town Hall meetings and staff updates; maintain on-going and frequent communication with all staff. • Project communications: Develop and implement strategic communication plans to support clients’ projects and promote clients work; conduct, analyse and summarize quantitative and qualitative research; leverage learning and strategic insights to maximize the impact of project communications. • Copy editing: Edit and proofread client materials and presentations developed by the consulting team for word usage, tone, style, format, accuracy, etc. • Native English speaker and writer. • BA or MA in communications, journalism, marketing or related field. • At least 4-5 years of experience in communications/marketing/journalism or related field, including at least 1-2 years in the healthcare field. • Strong competency in full MS office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. • Experience working with IT platforms such as Content Management Systems and email marketing solutions such as MailChimp. • Design software experience is a plus. • Experience working in developing country settings is a plus.
