Store Manager required for long established DIY/Homeware store in Dublin’s south city centre. Key responsibilities for this role include: • Full responsibility for the smooth operation of the day to day running of the shop floor. • Management and motivation of a team of shop floor staff. • Ensuring a high level of customer service prevails at all times in the shop. • Achievement of sales targets while maximising profitability. • Purchasing and stock management, particularly in the hardware and lockshop departments. • Stock merchandising and stock level management ensuring a well stocked, well presented shop floor. • Compliance and implementation of all company policies and procedures. • Daily management and reconciliation of cash. • Ensuring all paperwork is in order for back office processing. • Reporting directly to the shop owners on a daily basis. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years management experience in the hardware industry with a proven ability to motivate a team and consistently achieve sales targets. They must be well organised, trustworthy and have an enthusiastic, flexible outlook. Furthermore they must be commercially minded while at the same time customer-focused and posses an ability to work on their own initiative. Specific industry and product knowledge on the Locksmith and DIY side of the business will be a distinct advantage as will locksmith qualifications and experience. Salary: Negotiable, depends on experience.
