The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment is a statutory body which plays an important role in supporting the education system in delivering quality education at a time of significant change. The Chief Executive brings the vision, strategic leadership and effective management that ensures the organisation, under the overall direction of its Council, continues to deliver on its strategic plan, discharges its functions effectively and maximises its impact on the quality of the education experience of all children and young people. The successful candidate will have: • a proven track record of significant achievement at a senior level that demonstrates the strategic leadership and operational management skills, sound judgement and proven administrative ability required for this role; • a proven ability to manage and lead a multi- disciplinary team to deliver services in a complex environment; • a good knowledge of the education system, a sound understanding of curriculum and assessment issues and strong policy development and research skills; • strong communication and collaborative competencies that facilitate working with a wide range of stakeholders.
