My client, a global biopharmaceutical company now have a vacancy for an Associate Director Manufacturing and Technology Operations. The role: Reporting to the Executive Director, Manufacturing and Technical Operations, Biologics you will bring scientific and technical knowledge to the organisation. Responsibilities will include: Supporting manufacturing deviations and CAPAs, authoring and reviewing technical protocols and reports and authoring of specific areas of the CMC portion of regulatory dossiers. The role will involve significant interaction with other Technology Operations team members including the Supply Chain and Quality groups. Interaction with other functions including the Regulatory and the Project Management (PM) teams. The role requires an ability to work on multiple projects running concurrently; while always looking for opportunities to apply more current technologies and streamline processes. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an applied science is required. An advanced degree is preferred. • Over five years of relevant pharmaceutical development and manufacturing experience in Biologics. • Have a familiarity with quality systems and both FDA and EU regulations as they relate to process / product development and manufacture of biologics. • Have knowledge of process characterization activities and Quality by Design (QbD) principles. • Demonstrated track record of delivering timely and consistent results and familiarity with project management skills for technical programs. This role will be part of the senior managment team and requires good judgment and strong initiative. You need to have the ability to effectively prioritise and manage a diversified workload, often to strict deadlines. You should have strong interpersonal skills, a professional approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
