Our Client, a Freight and Logistics Company based in Dublin North now requires an experienced Air & Ocean Freight Forwarder on a permanent basis. Working as part of a busy airfreight team you will work closely with your colleagues and manager to deliver an excellent service experience to all clients. Hours are Mon-Fri, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure all Air Freight & Ocean Freight export/import activities are conducted in a professional and business- like manner with appropriate levels of personnel and maximum utilisation of resources. Coordinate workforce to ensure quality/quantity of performance. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are in place for all relevant customers. Create and issue quotations to prospects, customers, overseas offices in line with the operational SOP. Ensure all airfreight & Oceanfreight quotations are followed up and actioned accordingly. Negotiate rates. Arrange collections with the transport department or sub-contractors. Handling customer enquiries. Ensure security and health & safety regulations are monitored and upheld. Own transport required with full clean driving license. Minimum Requirements: Must have minimum of 2+ years relevant air & ocean freight experience within a freight forwarding company. Strong customs clearance knowledge. Possess a positive customer focus. Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written. Good IT skills to include Microsoft Office & Imports systems. Must be flexible and have the ability to work on his/her own initiative. Terms: Full-time, permanent. Package: €Neg.
