HEAD CHEF-CONTRACT CATERING Mon -FRI 7-4 Dublin 15 Area. We are seeking a Head Chef for a dynamic catering client in the Dublin 15 Area. This is a busy site with a diverse workforce whom like food above the normal offering. Exposure to Funky Salads, Superfoods, Street Foods, and World Cuisine is required at this site. Previous Head Chef Experience is preferred in contract catering or High Volume Gastro Background. This is a hands on Cooking role while maintain management of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities. " Deliver the main sections of the daily menu ensuring timely preparation and high standard quality product. " Oversee the preparations of the full daily menu to include Hot Counters, Salad Counters, Sandwich Section, Grab and Go Counters ensuring preparation and delivery to a high standard. " Support preparation of menus, stock management & ordering, and preparation of food in line with client needs and standards. " Preparation of speciality foods in line with menu planning and specific culinary skills. " Production of theme days once a month in conjunction with the client. " Extensive cuisine knowledge with regards to world cuisine and special dietary requests. " Competent in Portion Control, Food Counter Presentation & Food Taste. " Application and adherence to Food Safety Standards in line with legislative and company standards. " Support development of catering assistants, other chefs and kitchen porters. " Application of Safe working in line with H&S and Safety Legislation. " Experience in Email, Excel and Reporting by Computer. " Skills in Delegating and Training of the kitchen team. Qualifications & Experience. " Qualified chef with 5 years' experience as Head Chef preferably in Contract Catering or Funky Restaurant/ Gastro Background. " Must have strong Kitchen Management/Organisation. " Creative in Menus and food presentation. " Exposure to Superfoods and Healthy Options. " Good all-rounder with a great friendly attitude.
