Sigmar Recruitment, on behalf of our client a leading International Risk Management Company, is recruiting an Underwriting Technician to join the Captive team in Dublin. This position is being offered on a permanent full-time basis. The successful applicant will be joining a world leading Captive Management team and willbenefit from diverse experience resulting from participating in managing an international captive insurance programme, gaining a rounded view in areas of; Risk Management, Underwriting, Claims, Compliance and Financial Reporting. The successful applicant will also benefit from a structured team environment and development plan. Key Responsibilities. Assist in the day to day delivery of all underwriting activities and services to his or her clients, and support the primary underwriting and claims client contact, for the nominated client companies, in relation to all (re)insurance management services. Assist in ensuring that (re)insurance companies under management comply with Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) regulations and filing requirements, assist in Solvency II compliance and any other pertinent legislation and guidelines. Assist in the production of detailed Underwriting accounts, review of premium and claims information, assists in budgets/forecasts. Maintaining an on-going relationship with nominated clients, and gaining an understanding of the clients’ business and industry. Payment of claims and related expenses subject to obtaining appropriate authorisation. Ensure compliance with all Group and Client Procedures. Requirements. Progress towards a professional qualification, CIP or equivalent is desirable. Have experience of (re)insurance, underwriting, claims, or risk. Minimum 1-3 years’ experience required. Ability to act on his/her own initiative. Ability to work independently and within a team. Second European Language would be beneficial. Salary. Excellent Salary and Benefits package on offer.
