Bord Iascaigh Mhara/BIM is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the post of: FINANCE MANAGER. Based at BIM’s Head Office in Dun Laoghaire, the Finance Manager will head-up BIM’s Finance Department with responsibility for accounts payable, credit control, payroll and pensions, expenses and general ledger management. Reporting to the Corporate Services Director, his/her deliverables will include monthly management accounts, reports for the Board of BIM, returns to the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine, prompt payments, budgets, grants, and annual financial statements. The successful candidate will be required to manage and develop appropriate financial records and systems, to facilitate the preparation and regular review of the Financial Procedures Manual, ensure compliance with accounting standards, manage internal, Revenue, C&AG and EU audits, and monitor/develop computerised accounting systems. The ideal candidate will have an appropriate degree qualification and/or a professional accounting qualification, with a minimum of five years post qualification experience, to include up-to-date accounting, financial management and reporting and audit preparation and management. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills. Remuneration for the post of Finance Manager will be at Assistant Principal Grade in accordance with the Public Sector; Department of Finance approved salary scale (starting salary €65,093.
