Assistant Financial Accountant - Junior - Swords. Position Purpose: The assistant accountant will be the primary contact for the Month End closing process ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting to the relevant stakeholders and recipients within the company and the group. This role also serves to support the accounting and controlling process in relation to Accruals preparation, Bank reconciliation, recharges to other group companies, Bi- monthly VAT returns, foreign exchange deals and CSO reporting. Primary contact responsible for the timely delivery of month end financial reports to headquarters through the various reporting streams. During the month requirements are to be met by liaising with all relevant stakeholders to insure proper accounting and controlling of accruals, bank reconciliation, recharges to other group companies, bi-monthly VAT returns, foreign exchange deals, CSO reporting and other ad-hoc reporting as required. The other main dimension to the role is working with the qualified accountants within the finance function and stakeholders from other functions. Quantitative Summary: Significant information that further defines the position. - Be lead reporting accountant at month end for consolidated financial statements. - Responsible for accrual preparation as part of month end close process. - Preparation of the bank reconciliation. - Timely and accurate execution of recharges to other group companies. - Propose, execute, monitor and control foreign exchange deals and reporting. - Responsible for the submission of the CSO reporting requirements. - To be part of the Finance Team and to work with other departments on lean and productivity initiatives/projects as required. - Liaise and interface with external and internal auditors and providing all necessary information and process support. Capabilities: Education, skills, experiences and personal characteristics necessary for success in this assignment. - Part qualified ACCA or CIMA. - Experience in a multinational reporting role. - Customer Management - Ability to exceed internal customer expectations on delivery of information and financial support to achieve business goals. - Experience with the capability to facilitate ongoing lean practice initiatives and improvements. - Communication Skills - Excellent inter-personal skills. Ability to actively participate in team meetings in a structured and efficient manner. - IT Skills - SAP ERP system, Excel and other Microsoft office applications. - Must have ability to operate as part of the finance team of professionals and be flexible in the adoption of various roles within that group from time to time on an assigned basis.
