Strategic Sourcing Consultant - ISP/OSP. As a Principal Sourcing Specialist, you will manage one of the largest annual technology spends in the world and work with a team that is second to none. Your responsibilities will include: Taking a lead role supporting cost savings & revenue generation business goals through the sourcing process for large spend category areas. Installation or Engineering background in the following areas a plus: Transport elements: ROADM, WDM, routers, multiplexing & similar Network Elements. Knowledge / experience of primary & secondary DC Power systems: PDBs, BDFBs, cabling requirements, batteries, rectifiers, etc. Fibere optics: Cabling & applications o Working knowledge of telecos standards (i.e. Telcordia GR documents), including eng. specifications, drawings & layouts. Familiar with installation procedures, practices & standards. Drive all aspects of complex strategic sourcing process, including but not limited to, taking lead on contract negotiations of business & pricing terms & conditions, conducting research & providing benchmark data on pricing &/or other key terms. Strong analytical skills required to process large & varying types of data to get good results. Work with Bus. Partners to resolve supplier related bus issues & invoicing issues. Contract language interpretation / clarification. Manage disputes over contract pricing (i.e. Units / Models. Maximize purchasing power to achieve a lower cost while mitigating risk. Take a lead role & simultaneously work with & lead multiple teams to guide selections of low-cost & highly technically qualified suppliers to provide needed services. Stays current with industry trends for assigned category area; becoming a great advisor to Bus Partners. Present new products, technologies & services from existing or new suppliers to clients. Experience and qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc. Diploma//degree from (CIPS), (IACCM) or (IIPMM. Experience in Strategic Sourcing, ideally in the technology areas such as Network Equipment & Infrastructure, Software Licensing, Call Centre Services, Cloud, Contracted Labour, etc. Ability to solve complex problems to ensure business & financial issues result in sound decisions. Project Management in complex multi-project & multi-geography environment. Prior experience as a telecos installer or engineer. PMP or Prince 2 ; Lean Six Sigma experience, desired. Strong interpersonal & client service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel & Word) - MS Access a plus.
