Description

Leading international freight and logistics group now seek to hire an Inside Sales Executive to cover for maternity leave in their North Dublin branch. Reporting to the National Business Development Manager, the purpose of the role is to focus on the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector to maximise revenue with an objective to win business and increase Gross Profit giving priority to the European Roadfreight product. The role requires an individual with determination to make decisions, who can work under pressure to win new business and at the same time following the company's guidelines. You need to have an ability to work cooperatively and in collaboration with other stakeholders, partners, customers and colleagues. Excellent problem-solving ability is a must. This role will involve building relationships with customers so excellent communication skills are essential along with a strong commercial acumen and an ability to establish a rapport with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities; Contacting customers (via telephone) where activity has ceased with the objective of gaining the business back. Convincing the client (where appropriate) to meet one of our Business Development Executives. Generate leads: Sourcing leads from the internet and email campaigns. Maintaining and updating customer database. Preparing sales pitches / scripts. Prospecting: Make outbound calls to prospective customers. Sales planning activities – update CRM system with new customer details / activity. Presenting products / services, quoting customers. Maintain Call List of regular follow up customers. Handover to operations in correct manner. Planning and running telesales campaigns. Associated administration duties. Converting opportunities to wins. Minimum Requirements: Knowledge of freight modes, units of transport, pricing structures and service offerings. Keeping up to date on industry service, pricing changes and markets. Good understanding of required profit levels per mode per market. Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally. Confident and friendly telephone manner. Accurate data inputting skills. Excellent time management skills. Tenacious approach. Persuasive abilities. Self-motivated attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English. PC skills using MS Office. Terms: Full time - maternity contract (6-9 months. Package: €Neg. + Bonus + Benefits.
