Leading European Logistics provider now seek to hire a Sales Manager with experience within the European Full Load Roadfreight and Short Sea products. The company has an existing active sales team and a sales support structure in place to assist you in your efforts. The role is to achieve sales targets by promoting services to existing (80%) and new customers. Making a positive contribution to the growth of the business by actively seeking and securing new business opportunities (20%). This role will entail substantial travel meeting clients, however the person will be based in Dublin. There may also be some European travel, therefore flexibility and commitment are the attributes required to successfully fulfil this role. Core Responsibilities: Generate sales to achieve maximum profitability against sales targets (80:20 Account Management to New Business Development. Ensure that all sales and marketing policies are implemented and adhered to. Identify and follow-up new leads and potential new business opportunities. Calculate and submit freight quotations and tenders where required. Follow-up all quotes and tenders so that opportunities to secure business are not missed. Provide accurate and up-to-date information, relating to successful quotes and new business, to other relevant departments. Be responsible for developing and maintaining own customers, ensuring that they receive the best possible service. Undertake client visits and project work when required. Establish agreed KPI requirements for all clients. Support and co-operate with other members of the sales team to achieve departmental objectives. Work closely with other departments to ensure that the highest possible standard of service is given to the customer. Contribute with input towards monthly route reports. Key Experience & Expertise; At least 3 years logistics solutions sales experience within the Irish market. Extensive knowledge of the European Full Load and Short Sea products. Knowledge of the large food sector companies in Ireland would be useful. Proven business development & relationship management skills. Ability to drive and close big ticket opportunities. High-level influencing skills at senior levels. Willingness to assume responsibility, to learn and to adopt new processes. Strong motivational skills. Ability to work on multiple projects. Very good communication skills, can build credibility quickly with key stakeholders. Process driven, very good (self-) organisation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly customer focused can demonstrate an ability to build partnering relationships. Demonstrates drive and commitment with a passion that inspires others to achieve business goals. Willingness to travel if required. Terms: Full time permanent. Package: €Neg + Car/Allowance + Pension/health benefits and performance bonus after first year.
