Change Manager (Lean) Logistics. Established Logistics company based in Dublin North now requires a Change Manager to assist in taking the company forward and implement Lean processes. Reporting to the Board of Directors. The Lean Manager will grow our LEAN philosophy and practices across the total organization. As part of the Management Team, s/he will take full responsibility for the leadership,developmentand implementation of continuous improvement standards and opportunities. Our focus on process enhancement and staff development and training is a strategic pillar in our drive towards continuous improvement and this role will take ownership for and proactively manage performance optimization opportunities. Key Responsibilities. Develop LEAN (Change Management) Strategy in conjunction with ongoing VSM programmes and external resources. Develop Implementation Roadmap to drive incremental and breakthrough CI Projects. Identify opportunities and oversee LEAN projects across all functions. Manage and track progress using planned action vs target results and timelines as KPIs. Establish metrics to monitor financial savings for each chartered breakthrough project. Direct and facilitate the ongoing LEAN improvement process through the use of techniques such as VSM, ‘Visual Factory’, 5’S, Kanban, Root Cause Analysis, etc. Provide LEAN improvement orientation and on-the-job training for staff and ensure local responsibilities are defined and understood. Cascade the LEAN mindset to each local section of the business to have other lead improvement efforts. Train on effective tools for successful project leadership. Identify ongoing LEAN improvement training needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training. Lead the EHS Function by setting and supporting staff re. objectives and performance feedback. Develop and maintain annual VSM efforts, CI plans, and calendars. Provide support to external customers in support of value added initiatives in partner / agency operations. Manage potential opportunities to drive systems and business improvements. Other duties as assigned and as the business and role grows. Person Specification. Minimum 5 years’ experience with Lean Implementation. Educated to degree standard. Experienced in Health & Safety management. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to influence and lead teams. Proactive approach to staff training & development. Project management capability & experience. Computer literate. Process & Systems focused. Results focused with strong conformance ethos. Excellent attention to detail & task execution. Knowledge of process detailing e.g. Microsoft Visio. Adaptable & Flexible. Proactive ‘Will Do’ attitude. Demonstrable experience as an Excellent Team Manager. Issue resolution capability. Excellent administrator. Strong focus on continuous improvement. Value added approach & solutions driven. Terms: Permanent,Full-time. Package: €Neg. dependent entirely on experience.
