Junior Fund Accountant | Graduate Jobs. Excellent opportunity for a junior fund accountant to join a top international investment group. You will be working with a team of 15 people working mainly with a variety of private equity funds. The Company is looking to add a highly-motivated fund accountant to join a dedicated team focused on providing a quality service to its clients. You will receive a broad range of experience in the administration of regulated private equity companies and full training will be provided. You will be trained within a high-performing Finance team and be given study support to ensure you achieve your ACCA or ACA exam goals. You will be given the chance to develop your experience as a fund accountant. Top performing companies are looking for high achieving graduates so you will need top exam results to secure this position with a 2.1 and over 450 leaving cert points (or equivalent). What you will be doing: Starting out in this new job you will be exposed to various aspects of fund accountancy. You will be reporting to the fund accounting manager who will ensure you continuously grow within your position through the training and experience provided. You will be involved with investment reporting and dealing with investment manager, custodian, regulator etc. You will be responsible for day to day administration of private equity funds including: Preparation of monthly net asset valuations; year-end and semi-annual financial statements; Processing daily trades, bank reconciliations and cash management; Preparation of legal, tax and regulatory returns; and shareholder services (issuing notices, monthly statements etc. The position will involve actively pursuing various projects so you should be eager to learn and develop within the position as well as acting as a strong team player. What experience you should have : To be considered for this role you should have achieved top academics, with a 2.1 degree or masters and have a track record of achievement focused towards starting your career to become a fully qualified accountant. You should be competent using MS excel and if you have previous experience in a similar role or industry this will be a bonus. You will be hired based on your excellent communication skills and team focus. To be successful in as a fund accountancy you will require excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
