We are working on a fantastic opportunity to join the legal team of a well-established and reputable financial services institution. The successful candidate will join a legal team of 6 supporting the company's Alternative Investment Solutions business across Europe, specifically supporting its Private Equity and Real Estate businesses. Responsibilities will include: The provision of legal advice and support to business colleagues in Jersey, Guernsey, London, Luxembourg and Dublin, including the drafting and negotiation of agreements between the company and its clients. Assisting the company in fulfilling its responsibilities in relation to risk management by identifying legal risks and working with the business to design and implement measures to reduce and/or manage those risks. Preserving the integrity, good-standing and reputation of company by providing accurate, timely and commercial legal advice, support and solutions to the business. Providing corporate governance support to the boards of directors of legal entities in Jersey, Guernsey and England. Take a lead role in selecting, instructing and supervising external counsel. Work with the business to effectively finalise new client agreements. Advise and support the business in relation to the implementation of requirements pursuant to new laws and regulations. Provide advice on potential client claim matters. Provide legal advice with respect to updating legal templates to work on various legal projects as required and be a team player. Requirements: 5 years post qualification experience as a funds or corporate lawyer, including experience at an international law firm or international financial services organization. Specialist expertise in English, Jersey or Irish law and regulations applicable to the financial services sector within the broader European law framework. Excellent academics.
