Job Description. Job Brief. We are looking for a ‘Technical Writer’ to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our technical solutions. You will join a team of dedicated and vocational professionals who supply complex data collection solutions for the logistics supply chain industry. This role requires the successful candidate to have; Excellent communication skills. High level understanding for basic TCP/IP networking, operating systems and software interfaces. Excellent document creation and presentation skills. Excellent English grammar and spelling with a desire to generate the highest standard of documentation. Excellent Visio diagram skills with a focus on network topologies. Responsibilities. Produce and maintain high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience. Work with internal teams on product and document requirements. Both internal pre-sales and internal technical teams. Produce and maintain help documentation on our internal service management system. Both technical structure and user help guide documentation. Produce and maintain a professional archive of documentation with proper and professional version control. Standardise on a professional ‘look & feel’ for all technical documentation across the business. Report directly to the group Technical Director across two office operations – Dublin and London. Role is office based in Dublin. Requirements. Proven work experience in technical writing. Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail. Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, pictures and diagrams. Excellent written skills in English. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio. University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent qualifications preferred.
