Deputy Director of Audit. The Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) audits on behalf of the State all accounts of money administered by or under the authority of the Oireachtas. The C&AG supports effective democratic scrutiny through his published reports and in the provision of assistance to the Committee of Public Accounts in its examination of public finances. Reporting to the Director of Audit, the Deputy Director of Audit is responsible for a Division comprising a number of audit groups engaged on the certification audit and/or reporting programmes. S/he is a member of the Office Management Board which manages the day-today business of the Office as well as overseeing change management projects. The successful candidate will hold full membership of a prescribed professional accountancy body supervised by the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority. S/he will have significant recent relevant experience at an appropriate senior level in financial auditing or programme evaluation.
