Mid sized international freight forwarder now seeks to hire a Commercial Support Executive to assist in the continued growth of the Irish business. The primary responsibility will be to assist the General Manager & Managing Director in their efforts to win new business and grow business from existing clients. You will identify & qualify potential customers, introduce services, make appointments, secure carrier rates, complete quotations and tenders, follow up to establish feedback and make recommendations to assist in the process to win new business. Primary Responsibilities & Duties: Compile and maintain a target list of unqualified companies for verification. Identify key transport / shipping decision makers in small to medium sized companies engaged in importing and exporting to and from Ireland. Establish as much information as possible about key trade lanes – mode of transport used (air, road, ocean) and volumes and frequency of shipments. Also to establish where are freight costs paid? Capture competitor intelligence where possible and record. Distribute qualified information to the sales team. Introduce the companies service to potential client with a view to securing an appointment for the sales team. Manage relationships with allocated small business customers via inbound and outbound phone calls and email communication. Ensure regular customer contact is maintained. Handle enquiries from transactional and on-demand customers. Support targeted Sales campaigns by contacting targeted customers identified by the campaign. Minimum Requirements: 2 years operational or customer service experience in the Freight Forwarding industry (Air and/or Ocean. Experience of dealing with customers in a challenging and competitive environment. Proven track record of demonstrating strong communication skills. Experience of operating in a small fast-paced dynamic organisation. Ability to influence and persuade both colleagues and clients. Knowledge of international supply chain, transportation products and carriers within industry; Comprehensive MS Office Skills. Some selling/Negotiation skills. Likes to create solutions to solve challanges. Terms: Full time permanent. Package: €Neg.
