Summary. The Director, Supplier Alignment will lead the development, documentation, implementation and maintenance of vendor contract management processes, standards, and metrics tracking, including software and hardware asset management. This role will require close collaboration with the Global Supplier Management (GSM) organization for execution of legal agreements with our suppliers and vendors. In this highly visible position, the successful candidate will partner with all IT and business leadership to develop policies, processes and procedures regarding in/out-sourcing strategy, implementation plans, adoption methodologies and operational support for vendor management. She/he will be accountable for continuously evolving product offerings and sourcing strategies that align with business strategies to ensure the best possible performance and outcomes for the business in terms of cost and quality. Responsibilites. Primary responsibilities of this position are related to the management of the IT vendor and asset (HW and SW) management functions. Specific responsibilities of this role include: Strategic Vendor Management. Participate in vendor-sponsored events that focus primarily on future products and services, industry trends, vendor strategic direction and similar topics. Meet regularly with internal staff to keep apprised of strategic direction and how it would be supported by current and future vendor relationships. Manage vendor landscape and hold vendors accountable to the right level of service integration. Manage the current and future landscape of vendors including sourcing approach, what should be in/out sourced, which vendors to leverage for what capabilities. Relationship Management. Manage the vendor on-boarding process. Manage vendor relationships. Facilitate executive meetings/briefings that involve IT vendors. Collaborate with business partners to create clear program goals. Communicates goals internally so staff is aware of expectations and consequences. Assist in establishing SLA and metrics dashboard including quality measurements. Regularly reviews and evaluates internal and external Service Level Agreements to identify areas of improvement. Keep apprised of projects and initiatives involving IT vendors. Agreement Negotiation. Manage the review and negotiation of all IT vendor agreements in collaboration with the global supplier management (GSM) organization. Coordinate gathering of IT-related materials to support litigation if required. Ensures vendor compliance to agreement terms and conditions, company policies, standards, etc. Process and Procedures. Review industry/government best practices and select/implement those that would apply. Serve as custodian for all processes involving IT vendors. Manage vendor score-carding and monitoring of stakeholder satisfaction. Manage the Requests for Information / Proposal process (RFI / RFP. Reporting Vendor Performance. Support budget cycle by providing vendor-related information. Compile and analyze trends that affect budgetary needs. Assist in the development of internal monthly management reports. Qualification & Educational Requirements: 15 years relevant work experience. 5 years' experience managing a vendor management office for an information technology organization, including contract negotiation, vendor performance management, preparing and evaluating RFPs, relationship management, and a strong understanding of project management methodologies. 5 years' experience managing people and leading project teams within diverse areas of IT, including proven experience providing effective coaching, feedback and performance management. 5 years' experience managing technology vendors, including contractual performance. Possesses strong IT, planning, and financial knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
