The company’s products can be bought in all countries across the world, either via their 20 onshore subsidiaries including the USA, Australia and China or via a network of 530 distributors. BFT opened a subsidiary operation in Dublin, Ireland in 2010. This branch is essentially a BFT product sales and distribution centre that provide our customers with products and access to telephone technical support. Established in 1981, BFT has a turnover in excess of €100M and itself is owned by the Somfy Group, a French company with a worldwide turnover in excess of €1B. Position We are currently looking for a warehouse professional for our Dublin operation where a team of 5 people currently staff our business. The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities: • Receive deliveries, check and book into stock (using Sage Line 200) • Pick and pack customer orders • Process courier shipments • Physical daily stock checks of key fast moving items • Physical monthly stock checks of all items, last day every month. • Stock ordering/inventory management across multiple suppliers • Identify and advise the business of slow moving stock items • Identify and implement process improvements in the warehouse operation that will provide cost savings and/or improved customer service • Generate and update Excel based trade directory lists as required. The key characteristics of the successful candidate are likely to be: • A sense of ownership of our warehouse, seeing the stock as money as well as the products that our customers buy. • Ability to remain calm when working under pressure to tight deadlines. • Close attention to detail with a real pride in the business that they are responsible for. • The ability to work independently but also to be an integral part of what is a small and passionate team. • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to be comfortable with both our sales teams and our customers. • To be naturally warm and friendly, with a good sense of humour. The ideal core skills would be as follows (although training will be given to the right candidate on relevant items): • Fork lift license • Manual Handling • Strong and physically fit as some products that are picked/packed are heavy • Computer literate, proficient use of MS Office. • Working knowledge of Sage Line 200 accounting system The successful candidate will report to the Branch Manager. The salary being offered is negotiable depending on skills, potential and experience. There will be 20 days holiday per annum (pro-rata basis).
