Description

Supply Chain Graduate required to undertake administrative tasks related to the Procurement function. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritising work issues and operating with little supervision. There will be some profiling and maintenance of appropriate stock levels in accordance with the requirements of the business. This is achieved by liaison with suppliers as well as internal and external staff. The role will involve interaction with suppliers in relation to sourcing, pricing and availability of products. Key Responsibilities. Support department activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company goals. Purchasing goods relevant to each business unit. Pro-active relationship with colleagues and suppliers in relation to product pricing, availability and forecasting. Familiarity with accounting procedures in relation to supplier payment’s. Reconciliation of inbound deliveries to purchase orders. Processing stock orders and updating various incoming control documents. Deal with requests from internal and external sales teams. Schedule direct load deliveries in line with SOP. Co-ordinate the purchasing function with transport and sales functions to maintain supply chain integrity. Administration of purchasing documentation including maintenance of supplier invoices. Ensure compliance with H&S policy and procedures. The candidate must have a positive attitude to internal and external customer service and the ability to work in a pressurised environment. Maintenance of appropriate stock levels and communication regarding all aspects of the supply chain are key to the role. Education and Experience required: 1-2 years’ experience of supply chain and/or stock profiling. Knowledge of Procurement processes, policies and procedures. Proven experience as an office administrator/office assistant or relevant role. Emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. Self-motivated, can work on own initiative, with an ability to integrate into a team environment. Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills.
