Manufacturing / Production Manager (pharma. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES. In this role you will beresponsible for the performance of the company contract manufacturers (CMO's), who are manufacturing and supplying generic pharmaceutical products for the company and for customers. • You will be in charge of the company purchasing process including negotiating prices and conditions for products and raw materials, always with the aim of reducing company costs. Focus will be given to the product on-time delivery to customer. International travel will be required for around 30% of the time. Key Duties: CMO relationship management ensuring open atmosphere and excellent information flow. Management of finished product, bulk and component requirements according to the customers’ sales orders and forecasts. Purchasing process management: order creation and delivery to CMO, follow-up avoiding any delay, keeping internal databases updated and inform other concerned departments about the status of the orders until order delivery. Claim batch documentation to CMO and ensure reception at the agreed lead time. Lead the communications with CMO to follow-up the status of the on-going orders and ensure product delivery as per the agreed dates and quantities. Exchange information that could affect deliveries. Supplier invoices review and validation. Supervise and optimise the stock levels of the company in line with working capital targets. Introduction of CMO performance indicators. Collecting, monitoring and reviewing data to evaluate performance. Information sharing with contract manufacturers and definition of improvement actions when required. Product supply and components price negotiation together with Head of Supply Chain. Continuous seek costs reduction. Keep cost database updated. Negotiating and approving new tooling requirements. Keeping updated the tooling database in collaboration with R&D. Management and negotiation of manufacturing contracts together Head of Supply Chain and other internal departments. Sourcing and selection of new CMO ensuring competitive prices and capacity as per the company needs. Create and maintain a contract manufacturers' database including relevant information about current and new suppliers. Skills and experience sought: Degree in Technical, Business administration or Supply Chain. Experience of working with contract manufacturing organisations (CMO) within a GMP international environment. Or. Planner / Production Manager experience related to the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Minimum experience of 5 years. Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, ability to develop and maintain business relations. Strong planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
