Description

Job Specification: Customs Brokerage Specialist. Global 3PL (Logistics) company based in Cork now requires a Customs Brokerage Specialist to join an expanding team and take responsibility for being the "Go To" Person in the department. Duties & Responsibilities: Completing ISD’s (Import Simplified Documents) on behalf of carriers. Validating ISD’s received from carriers. Compiling Import Simplified ISD’sonto Access database. Declaring End of Month bulk entries using Azyra system. Complete reporting customer & Revenue. Assist in follow up Compliance Testing. Liaise with carriers for shipping information. Complete Export Customs Entries using Azyra system. Compile entries and supporting information to Access database. Assist in follow up Compliance Testing. Provide any and all Customs interface support for Freight Forwarding teams including: Updating ACP (Authorised Consignee Premises) records. Creating or discharging T1 documents. Import or Export Customs entries. Follow up with Revenue service for Orange or Red routings. Interface with Carriers and Information providers to ensure all required information is received. Complete Import & Export entries in accordance to received documentation. Provide completed documentation to Customer. Complete KPI’s and compliance tests to Central team. Assist in Customer documentation testing where applicable. Liaise with Customers for information related to Intrastat EX and IM documents. Manually update in the system or check electronically received info. Update it and send it to Revenue and Customer. Assist in follow up with Revenue if necessary. Prerequisite Requirements: A Working and up-to-date Knowledge of Customs procedures & practice. (Including Import / Export Clearance; Community Transit (Manual & NCTS knowledge. A good attention to detail (Accountancy / auditing fashion. A strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access. Be able to interrogate various systems in order to summarise and distribute the required information, in the required formats including customs declarations. Be Competent in MS Office Suite with particular knowledge of MS Access or a similar database package. Have strong attention to detail. Willing to work late evenings if/when required. Preferences: Knowledge of Reporting Packages (Crystal, Brio etc.,) Knowledge of Import / Export Intrastat Process. Terms: Permanent, Full-time, Mon – Friday.
