Scheidt & Bachmann are seeking a Field Service Technician for our operations based in Dublin. This is a permanent employment opportunity. Full training provided. Scheduled on Call and Overtime is mandatory. Schedulded weekend work is part of the role. Field Service Technician Essential Job Functions. SERVES FARE COLLECTION SYSTEMS AT CUSTOMER SITES: •Maintaining fare collection system performance: including but not limited to TVMs, Gates, Validation devices. •Installation and Commissioning of devices: including but not limited to TVMs, Gates, Validation devices. INCLUDING. •Under limited direction, analysing, troubleshooting, repairing and resolving technical problems on equipment. •Providing on-call response for unscheduled repair of failures or malfunctions. ENSURES OPERATION OF FARE COLLECTION EQUIPMENT: •Completing preventive maintenance requirements such as cleaning and maintenance of equipment. •Troubleshooting malfunctions; following repair instructions; evaluating new equipment and techniques. •Replenishment of Ticket Stock at TVM’s. MAINTAINS ASSIGNED VAN/VAN INVENTORY: •Maintaining equipment inventories and customer documentation; arranging for scheduled service; complying with legal/policy requirements. COMMUNICATES EQUIPMENT STATUS: •Completing required data collection processes, documentation and reports. MAINTAINS INTER- AND INTRADEPARTMENTAL WORK FLOW: •Fostering a spirit of cooperation; liaising between the Dispatcher and the Field Service Technicians. REPRESENTS THE COMPANY: •Providing onsite information to customer representatives. MAINTAINS SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT: •Following organization standards and legal regulations. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT: •Welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed. Experience of working in a Service/Maintenance environment. Proven customer service skills. Good communication skills. Job Requirements. •Electrical or Electronic systems qualification. •3-5 Years or more directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and mechanical-electrical systems and equipment. •Must have proven meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, good organizational skills and the ability to self-direct and prioritise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. •Must be able to lift 30kg on a continuous basis. •Must have valid clean driver`s license. •Heavy travel in the Dublin area. •Must be available for scheduled weekend & bank holiday work. •Good computer skills are a must, including Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Email, and basic file operations.
