Part-Qualified Accountant | ACCA | Assistant Accountant | 30 - 35k. Captive insurance company looking for a part-qualified accountant to join their fantastic team in a permanent position in Dublin 2.This is a great opportunity to gain valuable training tailored to your requirements, for you to become fully qualified accountant. This is an Assistant Accountant role providing accounting support to clients in a varied role while reporting to the senior account manager. Responsibilities include banking, external audits, tax, regulatory requirements and other general requirements. The ideal candidate will have started their ACCA exams, with 1-2 experience in accounts prep, preferably from a finance services background. You will receive a full study package to progress with your accounting exams, on top of the benefits offered such as pension and healthcare. You will be working from the city centre offices based in Dublin 2. Your Responsibilities: As an Accounts Assistant, you will be eager to take a proactive approach to all projects and bring forward opportunities to relevant accounts manager. You will be responsible for business plan preparations and bank applications assistance, booking and maintenance of all accounting records, tracking of cash lodgements and reconciliation to premium billings, debtor/creditor control account reconciliation's and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for the preparation of: - monthly management accounts and draft executive summary. - budgets and forecasts as required. -booking of general disbursement requests. - annual statutory financial statements and annual returns. -Board Books for Directors Board Meetings and preparation of annual returns. -VAT and PAYE/PRSI returns. - Assistance in the completion of insurance premium tax returns. Skills and Experience you should have: This Accounts Assistant roles requires you to be a Part Qualified Accountant in ACA/ACCA/CPA and a graduate in business or accountancy. You should have gained 2 years experience in a similar position and a Financial Services background would be an advantage. To be successful in the role, you should also have experience dealing with a high level of client service and ensuring client satisfaction is consistently high. This role requires someone with an ability to identify areas to improve efficiency, accuracy and analysis and suggest ways of improvement. You should be able towork under pressure and meet tight deadlines and be effective at communication with various internal and external stakeholders and have the drive to develop close and successful partnerships with internal and external contacts. The role offers a range of responsibilities for you to gain a varied and in depth knowledge to move to finishing your final accounting exams.
