Exciting opportunity with leading Irish bank for a Mortgage Underwriter to join their team in Dublin office. This would be a temporary contract for 6 months with possibility of extension. About this role: The Mortgage Lending Unit provides an independent dual sign-off of Home Mortgage credit applications at agreed levels for various business areas. Candidates will be expected to have a proven track record in credit and strong commercial awareness. The role is not an F&P impacted role. Skills and requirements: Have a proven high level of Mortgage Underwriting Credit Skills with good commercial awareness. Display evidence of high standards of professionalism in relation to Credit and compliance with all governance, regulation and Policy and standards. Be solution focused with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills and evidence of ability to interact, engage and influence. Have an ability to interpret and understand complex credit cases to be in a position to provide informed advice or approval in relation to credit decisions.
