Procurement Solicitor. Location: Dublin North. Salary: €Neg. Our client is one of Ireland’s leading law firms with over 130 staff. The firm has extensive expertise in the areas of Professional Regulatory and Administrative Law, Banking and Finance, Employment, Insolvency and Restructuring, Commercial Property, Renewable Energy, Data Protection, Planning and Environment, Private Client, Procurement, Litigation, and Dispute Resolution. They have an immediate vacancy for a Procurement Solicitor to join their well established and successful team. This role offers challenging, interesting and rewarding work in an innovative and progressive environment. The successful candidate will work with a number of departments across the Firm and work with both clients in the public and private sector who require assistance with their procurement needs as part of the full legal service provided to them. The successful candidate will be required to liaise comfortably with senior personnel, provide initial advices on an immediate basis and more detailed specific and legally accurate advices within a short timeframe. The successful candidate will have specific responsibility for: Providing advices to clients which typically include: The appropriate procurement process to conduct (if any); The appropriate means of advertising the competition; The most appropriate make-up of the PQQ/ ITN; Valid questions and scoring matrices to include; Lawful conduct of the entire procurement process including appropriate responses to queries raised, scoring of submissions, drafting of the standstill letter and the debriefing process; Avoidance and defence of procurement challenges; Advices are required regarding participation in the procurement process and consideration of whether there are grounds for a procurement challenge. Presenting at seminars, meeting with potential clients and working closely with the business development team; Developing and providing training to in house staff; Ad hoc activities as required. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience: 3+ years professional experience in the area of Procurement; Ability to foster trusted relationships with our clients; Strong attention to detail; Strong organisational and time management skills; Team player with strong communication skills; A good work ethic with a positive can do attitude and approach to work.
