The Senior Executive Parks Superintendent is responsible for the day to day management of parks and open spaces within the Local Authority area including planning, procurement and management of projects from inception to construction relating to parks, public realm, play, recreation and other infrastructure. The successful candidate(s) will: • hold a recognised degree in Agricultural Science (taken in Horticulture), or the Master of Horticulture of the Royal Horticultural Society, London, or an equivalent professional qualification; • have at least seven years’ post qualification experience of practical horticulture and arboriculture with particular reference to the propagation and culture of plants, and the planting and maintenance of parks; • have adequate training or experience in the design of parks and other public areas.
