Summary : As Marketing & Communications Manager you will provide a high level of expertise to aid the development and dissemination of all marketing/communication initiatives (including digital) in 58 Special Olympics national programmes across Europe and Central Asia. You will also work on creating effective communications collateral to support the ongoing development of Special Olympics in the Europe Eurasia region. Reporting to the Head of Communications the role will require interaction with Special Olympics International’s global marketing department based in Washington D.C. and various global and regional corporate, sports and communications partners to ensure an increase in awareness levels and supporter engagement for Special Olympics as set down by the 2016-2020 Strategic Plan. You will come to Special Olympics with an impressive track record of having worked within a fast paced marketing/communications environment and with demonstrable experience of setting and delivering on objectives & projects, managing and growing online marketing resources, and implementing innovative and effective solutions to achieve organisational and individual goals. Primary Responsibilities: Manage and develop the SOEE social media channels with an emphasis on content creation. Manage the production of a monthly newsletter and ensure growth & engagement targets are met. Design and support initiatives to ensure national programmes understand and comply with the Special Olympics brand management system. Support the delivery of on-site training workshops and webinars to support national programmes in Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Support communication marketing campaigns and events across the region including development of graphic design assets and guidelines. Support the production of brochures, films, photography and other branding materials in line with budgets and using Adobe software. Research, source, compile and script stories related to Special Olympics across the Europe Eurasia region [58 countries] Manage digital insights/media monitoring process and produce quarterly report. Maintain contact database and Special Olympics digital/film library archive. Manage translation services partnership to facilitate translation of key SOEE documents into multiple languages. Support in the development of new partnerships with ambassadors, sport organisations, corporate sponsors etc. Undertake other ad-hoc assignments as may be requested by SOEE Head of Communications, and/or Regional President. Required Qualifications/Skills: Minimum five years’ experience in marketing or related field. Strong social media management experience. Proven track record of developing and delivering marketing campaigns to reach and engage extensive and varied audiences. Highly skilled in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Proficient in the use of analytics and an ability to be responsive to the data. Fluency in English and/or other languages. Excellent writing and story-telling skills. Highly skilled in use of social media / digital marketing techniques, including emerging digital technologies. Excellent verbal communications skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to work on own initiative. Willingness to travel as required. Additional Information: 40 hours per week. 20 holiday days per annum.
