Health & Safety Officer – Market-Leading Business. Bray, Co Wicklow. €Excellent DOE. Founded in 1992, our client is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of high quality diagnostic test kits. They are now looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join their team. In this important role, you will help our client to maintain these high standards and retain their market-leading status. Supporting the HR Team, as a Health & Safety Officer, you’ll ensure that our client’s scientific operations are in-line with H&S legislation. You’ll monitor near accidents, accidents, observations and medically treated cases, as well as identifying hazards and carrying out risk assessments. Ensuring that all policies are up-to-date, you’ll investigate any incidents, perform audits and assist with the training of employees. Additionally, you’ll liaise with regulatory bodies such as the EPA and HSA. Your other duties will involve: - Providing H&S induction programmes. - Delivering and completing statutory notifications to the HSA. - Making recommendations regarding Personal Protection Equipment (PPE. - Compiling, updating and communicating site emergency plans. - Ensuring that First Aiders are available on-site. Interested? To be considered, you will need: - At least two years’ experience in an H&S role. - Experience of managing safety on-site. - Excellent leadership and training skills. - An H&S certificate, diploma or degree. Detail-oriented and methodical, as a Health & Safety Officer, you’ll have outstanding communication and presentation skills. You’ll also have a hands-on approach to problem-solving, strong relationship-building abilities and a positive attitude.
