Dublin City Council is responsible for the orderly development of the City and, through its Planning and Property Development Department, strives to bring about a sustainable living City; a City in which people can live, work and form communities. The City Council is the Building Control Authority for the Dublin City area and its responsibilities include administering the Building Control system, the Construction Products Regulations and other statutory functions. Opportunities now exist within the Building Control Section of Dublin City Council. The successful candidates will work with a multi disciplinary team to provide technical advice in areas including building control, event licensing and disability access. The positions frequently involve investigations and inspections in the protection of life and safety. For each position, the successful candidate must: • hold a professional qualification in Building Surveying that is prescribed under the Building Control Act 2007, or a. qualification in Building Surveying that is equivalent to a qualification so prescribed; • be eligible for registration as a Building Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007 without requiring further. assessment.
