We are looking for a Catering Officer Grade 1 for one of our Clients in North Dublin. Job Title: Catering Officer Grade 1. Location: Dublin North. Salary: €50,000+ Facility: Private Hospital. About the Job: Provide strategic leadership, which results in the delivery of an effective, efficient, quality assured and patient centered Catering service. Advise on equipment selection, purchase, replacement or upgrading. Participate and cooperate with any internal or external evaluation of the service. Participate in the overall financial planning of the service including the negotiation of resources and the assessment of priorities in pay and non-pay expenditure. Ensure expenditure is controlled within budget and identify potential for efficiency savings through improved practices and innovation. Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff according to Company Policies and Employment Law and ensure relevant Human Resource procedures are followed. (Performance Reviews, Disciplines and Grievance Procedures. Ensure the optimum and effective use of staff through efficient rostering, skill/grade mix planning, workload measurement and staff deployment. Involvement in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Adherence to the policy on complaints and patient services? Ensure adherence to all codes and guidelines relating to professional practice including the maintenance of Quality Assurance standards including HIQA, HACCP, JCI and Health & Safety regulations. The Successful Candidate will: A Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Catering or insitutional management. At least three year's satisfactory experience in the direction and control of the catering arrangements for an institution. Proven and demonstrable project management experience, in particular, knowledge of workflow processes, and change management. Good problem-solving skills and experience of managing industrial relations issues. An ability to work to tight deadlines. Strong analytical and administrative skills. Awareness and understanding of HACCP regulations from the legislative and practical application point of view. Knowledge of HIQA desirable.
