A Global Pharma company based in North Dublin is now looking for a Senior Buyer. You will be given a geographical territory, in which you will be responsible forthe relations with all existing suppliers. The purchase of all products assessing costs and availability compared to demand and profitability of individual products. Finding new suppliers. This role will suit someone coming from a Manufacturing purchasingback group, Experience within the Pharma industry is an advantage. Responsibilities: Procure and order pharmaceutical products from approved suppliers. Identify additional suppliers on a continuous basis. Plan purchase strategy based on business plan/sales. Obtain the required quantities of products in line with sales. Negotiate prices of existing products where possible. Travel will be required to meet Suppliers (min once a year. Develop and maintain close cooperation with supply chain department. Inform supply chain about deliveries and expected quantities; Maintain the SAP system. Demonstrate a proactive approach towards stock issues; Work closely with the Quality Department; Have a good understanding of GDP guidelines. Carry out various other additional tasks that may be required. Essentials: A minimum of 5 years purchasing, logistics or supply chain experience working with a wholesaler or other pharma purchasing unit; Fluent English language. An understanding of Parallel Trade and or wholesaling of pharmaceuticals is an advantage. Strong social skills within maintaining supplier relationships. Customer orientated within the organisation: Excellent communicator, analyst and negotiator. Objective/results orientated, creative problem-solving mentality. Ability to under pressure. Team Management experience. Experience using SAP ESSENTIAL. Excellent salary and Benefits on offer for the right candidate.
