Senior Software Engineer - Java/Spring

Our client is at the bleeding edge of communications technology, and based in the city centre of Dublin, are urgently looking for more excellent developers to keep pushing the leading edge of connectivity even further. Starting immediately, we need passionate programmers experienced in delivering complex enterprise apps on the JVM. The right candidate will join a cross functional agile team delivering new features and enhancements to the product suite. The products are primarily built on the JVM and exposes rich RESTful API's that are consumed by native mobile clients, web apps and clients. Backend includes Spring-Boot and much of the spring stack interacting with MYSQL, MongoDB, REdis, and elasticsearch db's. They build automate and deploy using Gradle, Gulp, Ansible, Docker, and have supporting tools written in Python, Bash and Groovy. The right person will have a degree in software engineering/computer science and 5 years professional experience using AGILE, and TDD, pair programming and short release cycles. Expert with OOD, Java, enterprise design patterns, and unit testing. Expert with RESTful API's, dependency injection frameworks (spring, gruice) and build technologies (Gradle, Maven) and java application server experience (Jetty, Tomcat, Undertow. experience with the following would be really useful too: Fullstack web development with a modern web framework, iOS, Android or react native experience. Groovy, Kotlin, Clojure, Javascript, Swift/Objective-C, Python. Sponsorship for a work permit is not possible as this is a contract position. This job originally appeared on RecruitIreland.com.
