Established International Freight Forwarding & Logistics provider based in North Dublin now wish to hire an experienced Ocean Freight Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will achieve new business targets set for the Sea Freight product of a set number of additional TEUs. Key Responsibilities & Duties: To identify and develop new business opportunities which will generate the maximum amount of profitable sales through the achievement of sales targets and by making new customers aware of the company’s service range. Pro-actively generate sales to achieve maximum profitability against mutually agreed sales targets. Establish and maintain effective communication links with other business units to identify all sales opportunities. Develop and maintain new and quality customers, particularly within the medium to large enterprise sector. Develop strong productive partnership with key nominated high grade customers through a professional needs-based selling approach and structure. Promotion of the range of services provided with a strong emphasis on Seafreight Develop and maintain a quality pipeline of target customers as agreed with the Commercial Director. Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and prepare regular forecasts and reports to ensure effective forward planning. Support the organisation by providing it with research results which will assist in decision making. Contribute to the successful development of products in your territory through creative ideas, suggestions and involvement in specific sales building projects. Effective interface with other members of the organisation to ensure a cohesive approach towards maximising business performance. Provide accurate and up-to-date information on competitor activity and other relevant trade information. Minimum Requirements: A proven track record of delivering NEW sea freight business is absolutely essential. A proven track record in developing new business from a cold calling perspective. A proven track record of achieving and exceeding challenging business development targets. Proven consultative selling and influencing techniques. Proven customer management skills –with particular emphasis on a tactful, resolute and committed approach to providing excellent customer service. Proven communication skills – an excellent level of communication skills is required. Terms: Permanent Full Time. Package: €65k + Car + Commission + Pension + Other Benefits.
