As a Claims Liability Handler within the Litigation team you will participate in a customer focused claims handling service. You will be proactive and innovative in your approach to claims handling. The successful candidate will be an approachable team focused individual. You must demonstrate the ability to identify, build and maintain internal and external relationships. The role will involve managing a case load of injury type Motor & Liability claims from receipt through to settlement/agreed hand off. Key Responsibilities: Implementing the agreed strategy, policies and processes and procedures on the Team. Handle appropriate claims through to final settlement in a timely and efficient manner. Identifying breach of policy and fraudulent claims, ensuring that they are dealt with in accordance to procedures. Key Skills and Qualifications: Knowledgeable in the following: Insurance policies and procedures. Injuries Board and Litigation processes. Relevant statutes and case law. Personal injury valuation. A relevant Third Level degree or appropriate professional qualification. ACII qualification is desirable but not essential. Good communication, decision making and negotiation skills. Ability to work towards personal and team targets, whilst meeting required deadlines.
