Our Client is a highly respected and well established Association.They provide support and services to companies in the SME sector. Based in Dublin 2, they are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced person to manage the Skillnets Network. The Job Title is Training and Development Manager, but as a Skillnets Network Manager the role is more concerned with Project Management, Budget Management and Co-ordinating Training than actually delivering Training. Familiarity with Skillnets would definitely be beneficial for any candidate. Role Summary: A Skillnets network manager is appointed by the contracting organization, in this case our client. Operating under the guidance of the Skillnets Steering Group, the network manager’s role is to implement the network plan. TheTraining and Development Manager will be responsible for: Managingthe clientsSkillnet Network. Managing documentation and Quality Assurance documentation for QQI. 0Implementing a fair and transparent procurement process, seeking tenders, negotiating with suppliers. Submitting reports to Skillnets. Ensuring accurate record keeping. Participating in and contributing to Intellectual Outputs and submitting reports for Erasmus+ and Horizon2020 projects in the fields of training and development for SMEs. Representingthe clientand its membership on National Committees and in submissions to government or government agencies. Providing advice to the membership in the area of training and development and sourcing providers if necessary. Perform other roles and responsibilities as may be decided by the Skillnets Steering Group and assisting with the clients other business where necessary. Required Experience: Experience developing and managing budgets. Project Management experience. Knowledge of public procurement system. Experience of validation, assessment and QA for QQI. Experience of working with SMEs. Competencies Required: Excellent administration skills. Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Ability to engage with SME owner managers and public representatives and to write responses to consultations in the field of education and training.
