The Office of the Chief Information Officer, incorporating eHealth Ireland, was established to lead the transformation of ICT within the health delivery system in support of fundamental health service reform, while also leading the development of an eHealth ecosystem within the Irish health system. The position of Chief Information Officer incorporates the role of Chief Officer, eHealth Ireland. Reporting to the Director General, s/he is a member of the leadership team in the HSE and will work with the Department of Health on information and ICT policy matters. The successful candidate will have: • significant senior experience of strategic planning and ICT strategy development and managing large and complex change projects; • a proven track record of project management, organisational change and development and a capacity to analyse highly complex problems in a changing environment; • excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
