Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator: Food: Dublin. Job purpose: Technical lead ensuring that potential brand and consumer risks are managed for all Operational activities. You will have responsibility for aligning the company technical policy requirements to food safety legislative requirements, and ensuring that the food safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Manage QA investigation process for Customer Product Quality & Food Safety Complaints and Supplier Food Safety Non-conformances by coordinating the investigation process. Liaising with suppliers, Customers and with various functions within the company to progress the close-out of complaints. Inform the QA Manager of serious complaints or legal complaints. Manage the CRM Commence Software Package, licensing, and contract. Complaint reporting to the business. Provide a Monthly Customer Complaints Summary Report and circulate it to relevant comapny personnel. Co-ordinate product recall of ambient, chilled, frozen products distributed by the company. Support National / Key Accounts by providing technical information required to trade. Ensuring National Account contractual requirements are met, completing store templates and supplier databases are sent out to agreed timelines with Key Account Manager. Technical support in the investigation and resolution of Customer HACCP compliance queries on the operation of a food business. Manage information data required to provide customers with Product Information. Respond to customer request for product and operational compliance information in a timely manner. Support Quality System Management and documentation management for the company sites. Auditing of assigned warehouses and Restaurants against legislative requirements of food safety & quality ensuring depots achieve agreed pass mark. Issue Corrective Action Reports (CAR's) based on findings of audit, Implement plans for the close out and resolution of these CAR's. Report performance back to the business. QC testing of Own Brand products to agreed sampling plan against Quality Assessment Specifications, and effective closure of non-conformances with suppliers. Manage and co-ordinate micro sampling plan with external laboratory. Support Environmental policies, liaising with Environmental consultants, Waste Providers and various functions within the company. Project Work. Work on required projects with the Quality Team to improve and drive the Quality initiatives within the business. Representing the Quality Department on teams across the business, to influence on Quality issues. Education and additional requirements. Food Science / Food Technology Degree, or equivalent. 3-5 years in Food Technical Role (ideally with Chill / Freeze products. Strong technical food functionality knowledge is essential. Proven track record in managing food safety and compliance in a retail / manufacturing environment. Demonstrate a broad understanding of food production, and a good knowledge of Labelling regulations. Working knowledge of HACCP planning and its application. Understanding of BRC/ISO 22000 Auditing Standard. PC literate in Microsoft applications including Power Point, Words and Excel. Ideally with previous Experience of Spec & Complaint Management Software packages. Excellent Communication skills, conveying technical information and concepts in verbal, written and presentation format. Ability to prioritize workloads and differentiate between urgent and important. Problem Solver - identify risks and initiate solutions.
